Photos of your child

We ask your written permission before we share any photo of your child, on this site, in newsletters or on social media, and you can change your answer at any time. We never put a child's name with a photo, and the photos on this site are examples until we replace them with our own.

Closures for weather and holidays

We close for Thanksgiving week and for one week at the turn of the year. If weather closes the hall, we email and text every band by mid-afternoon and move the rehearsal to open hall that week.

Leaving a season

We ask for two weeks' written notice to leave during a season, and a season in progress is paid through the notice. Between seasons, tell us before sign-up opens for the next one.

Guests at showcase nights

Friends and family are welcome at showcase nights, and the hall opens an hour before the first band. During a season, rehearsals are for the band, so ask your coach before bringing a guest. At a showcase, phones go down while a band plays.

Phones in the hall

Phones stay in a pocket or on the amp shelf during rehearsal, except for a tuner, a metronome or a chart your coach asks for.

What to wear and bring

Wear what you would play in, with closed shoes around cables and amps. Bring your own guitar, bass, horn or sticks; the hall has a house drum kit, amps, keyboards and microphones. For a showcase night, a dark shirt is plenty.

How the hall works

A few habits that keep a rehearsal running, and that every band shares.

  • Earplugs

Earplugs are on a shelf by the door. Your coach will show you how to wear them.

  • Setting up together

Players set up before rehearsal and pack down after, so the next band starts on time.

  • Volume, agreed

Your coach and your band agree the level before the first song, and adjust it as you go.
